Bank holiday travel made simple with Portsmouth Park and Ride

With plenty happening across Portsmouth and Southsea this August Bank Holiday weekend, why not leave the car with us and enjoy a stress-free journey with Portsmouth Park and Ride?
Whether you’re heading into the city centre for shopping, dining and sightseeing, or making the most of Southsea seafront, Portsmouth Park and Ride offers a convenient, affordable and more sustainable way to travel.
We’re delighted that the PR3 Southsea service will operate throughout the Bank Holiday weekend, including Bank Holiday Monday, giving you an extra day to enjoy Southsea, Old Portsmouth and the city’s many attractions.
As Portsmouth welcomes thousands of visitors over the weekend, including those attending the three-day Victorious Festival, we’re encouraging everyone to plan ahead and consider sustainable ways to get around. Using park and ride, walking, cycling, rental e-scooters or e-bikes can help reduce congestion and keep Portsmouth moving safely for residents and visitors.
Car share if you can for the best value fares and to keep park and ride operating smoothly throughout the weekend.

Travel information for the Bank Holiday weekend
Due to festival road closures, Clarence Pier will be the final stop on the PR3 Southsea service throughout the weekend and buses will not serve The Pyramids and Avenue de Caen.
All other Portsmouth Park and Ride services will operate as normal, with the following final return departure times:
PR3 Southsea service
- Last bus from Clarence Pier: 7.24pm (Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday)
PR1 service
From The Hard
- Saturday: 7.15pm
- Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday: 6pm
From city centre
- Saturday: 7.20pm
- Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday: 6.05pm
Car park closing time
- Portsmouth Park and Ride car park closes at 8.00pm
Visiting Victorious Festival?
