Portsmouth Park and Ride provides a convenient solution for visitors, allowing drivers to park their vehicles outside the city centre and travel into Portsmouth via a dedicated bus service.

During summer weekends, the park and ride service extends to Southsea, offering a cost-effective and enhanced alternative to city centre parking which supports sustainable travel.

Travelling buy park and ride helps reduce traffic congestion and contributes to cleaner air by reducing the number of vehicles on busy city roads.

Located just off Junction 1 of the M275, our car park has 625 parking spaces, including three bays for blue badge holders, eight additional bays for blue badge/parent-and-child parking.

The modern terminal building features a comfortable waiting area with live departure information, accessible toilets and baby changing facilities, ensuring a convenient experience for all visitors.

The PR1 service operates every day except Christmas Day, connecting passengers to the city centre and The Hard Interchange – ideal for onward trips to other parts of the city and further afield, by ferry to the Isle of Wight and out of the city by train.  During the summer, the PR3 weekend service to Southsea runs every weekend in July and August, providing a car-free way to enjoy the city’s summer activities and events.

In late 2024, the service underwent a vibrant rebrand, with a fresh new look for both the site and the buses. Thanks to a renewed partnership with contractor First Bus Solent, customers now enjoy even more convenient payment options, including through the First Bus app or directly with the bus driver.
